AEDC Annual Investor Luncheon
The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is pleased to announce Dr. Barry Asmus as special guest speaker for the Annual Investor Appreciation Luncheon on July 28 at the Hotel Captain Cook.
Dr. Barry Asmus, named by USA Today as one of the five most requested speakers in the U.S. and twice named Outstanding Professor of the Year, will be speaking on how Anchorage fits into the international movement towards growth, globalization and the internet. Past clients of Barry Asmus read as a who's who of Fortune 500 companies including 3M, Federal Express and Microsoft.
Also included in the program is a report by Mayor Mark Begich on recent efforts to market Anchorage, an update on the 2004 Economic Forecast and a presentation on a recently completed report on Anchorage economic trends over the past 20-years both by Bob Poe.
A combination of seven national and international journalists, listed below, will be attending the event on their four-day visit to Anchorage. The journalists have been strategically selected as a result of AEDC's efforts to bring international media attention to Anchorage as a logistics hub for transportation.
