Sen. Murkowski Campaign Surpasses $3 Million Goal
Anchorage, AK - Senator Lisa Murkowski filed her 2nd quarter financial report with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). In the 2nd Quarter, the campaign raised over $881,000 making the total amount raised over $3.3 Million, $300,000 more than the campaign targeted for this point in the campaign and maintaining $1.25 million cash on hand.
The number of Alaskan donors supporting Senator Murkowski's election increased by nearly 45% in the last three months. Alaskans now make up 74% of the campaign's individual supporters. Senator Murkowski maintains an overall fundraising advantage of $600,000 over her nearest challenger and more than a $250,000 advantage in money in the bank.
"In the last few months we have seen a swelling of support from Alaskans. This is the best indication that we are on the right track and we have the support from around the state to win this race," Senator Murkowski said.
