Conservatives Endorse Miller In Senate Race

National Groups Choose Miller over Murkowski

North Pole, AK - U.S. Senate Candidate Mike Miller announced he has won the backing of several national conservative groups in his campaign to defeat Lisa Murkowski in the GOP Primary.

"These endorsements are highly valuable for building support among Republican Primary voters, most of whom are very conservative," said Miller. "My campaign has already won the support of well-known Alaskan conservatives, such as Sarah Palin, Lieutenant Governor Loren Leman, and House Majority Leader John Coghill. Now, national groups are joining local leaders in affirming that my proven, conservative record makes me a better choice for Senate than Lisa Murkowski."

Miller said the endorsements promise to bring additional funding for his campaign, and more importantly, new voters: "Although these are national groups, each one has supporters, donors, or affiliated chapters in Alaska, and that means our grass roots campaign will acquire even more momentum and energy." Groups endorsing Miller in the Republican Primary include:

CONCERNED WOMEN POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE: CWPAC supports candidates who embrace parental rights and defend the institution of marriage. It was founded by Beverly LaHaye, who also founded Concerned Women for America, the largest women's policy organization in the U.S., with more than 500,000 members.

EAGLE FORUM PAC: Eagle Forum assists candidates who promote strong families and less government. The group is headed by national conservative leader Phyllis Schlafly, who was named one of the 100 most important women of the 20th century by Ladies' Home Journal.

CAMPAIGN FOR WORKING FAMILIES: Founded by former Republican Presidential candidate Gary Bauer, CWF exists to support candidates who promote conservative values such as the defense of the traditional family, and the promotion of individual liberty and free enterprise.

MADISON PROJECT: Based in Virginia, the Madison Project raises money for conservative candidates through a network of grassroots conservative donors.

HOME SCHOOL LEGAL DEFENSE ASSOCIATION PAC: HSLDA PAC provides support and services to pro-family and pro-homeschooling candidates for federal office.

FREE CONGRESS PAC: Free Congress PAC was founded by longtime conservative activist Paul Weyrich, who earlier this year caught the attention of Alaska's media after publishing a pessimistic assessment of Lisa Murkowski's chances of defeating Tony Knowles.

REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COALITION FOR LIFE: Based in Dallas, RNC Life raises money to fund pro-life Republican candidates running for the House and Senate.
